“Resilient by Design & Optimized for Efficiency”: an Alabama Habitat for Humanity Affordable Housing Convening, in partnership with Auburn University's Rural Studio & Carrier.

This day-long event will include lunch, a tour of Rural Studio projects, and an expert agenda of topics and best practices on:

- Learn how solar and weatherization can be integrated into affordable housing programs to optimize affordability
- Explore resilient housing design, storm protection, and Fortified construction from innovative architectural design from the ground up.
- Identify partnership opportunities that leverage resources and expand impact statewide.
- Develop actionable strategies to incorporate resilience and sustainability into Habitat housing initiatives.
- Understand practical energy-efficiency measures and best practices to help homeowners reduce their energy costs
