Auburn Opelika HFH: Flag Day 2026
Mark your calendars for June 14th, 2026, as we prepare to celebrate Flag Day.
Auburn Opelika Habitat for Humanity looks forward to once again partnering with the Light Horse Harry Lee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution for our annual Flag Day observance. Each year, this tradition includes the presentation of an American flag to one of our Habitat homeowners. This presentation serves as a symbol of pride, freedom, and the shared values that unite our community.
The Daughters of the American Revolution is a non profit, non political, volunteer women's service organization. It is dedicated to preserving American history, promoting patriotism, and securing America's future through better education for children. Founded in 1896 in Auburn, Alabama by Mrs. Patrick Hues Mell, the Light Horse Harry Lee Chapter has partnered with Auburn Opelika Habitat for Humanity for many years. Their continued support helps make this annual tradition meaningful for the families we serve.
