New Affiliate Leader Orientation (NALO)
The New Affiliate Leader Orientation (NALO) is a weeklong orientation for executive directors, board members and staff members in leadership positions at local U.S. and Canada affiliates and affiliate support organizations. Leaders can be in a variety of positions and need not be necessarily "new" to their role to attend. NALO is designed to give a broad overview of the roles, requirements and responsibilities of affiliate leaders, along with available resources to support their work. Visit the NALO page on MyHabitat for more details, such as what topics are covered. Sessions are held 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. CST each day throughout the week. Mon, May 18 - Fri, May 22
Please note that two additional workshops take place after the week-long orientation concludes.
The two and a half hour Habitat ReStore workshop is optional and will be held on Friday afternoon, May 22. In your registration, you will note whether you will take this session. No separate registration is required and you will join this session using the same link you used for the NALO week.
The four hour homeowner selection and origination workshop is a required NALO session and will be scheduled a few weeks after the primary NALO week. A separate registration is required for this session as leaders are welcome to invite their Qualified Loan Originator and Homeowner services staff members to join this workshop. An invitation to register will be shared with NALO registrants at least three weeks in advance of the workshop.
Questions can be sent to the U.S. Affiliate Support Center at USSupportCenter@habitat.org or (877) 434-4435.
